Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Varsity Basketball Assistant Coach to support our student-athletes to success through expert coaching, instruction, and mentorship. The coach will foster a positive and meaningful athletic experience for all players, focusing on player development, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

Schedule:

• Practices: Monday-Friday 320-5pm (but typically 1 day is given off each week, especially when games start around the beginning of December)
• Games = 1 or 2 per week 320-6pm
• Needed to be at school by 310pm
• Season: 11/11 to 2/12
• Comp: $2.5-$3k

Key Responsibilities:
Provide coaching and instruction to support the success of the varsity basketball team.
Serve as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes.
Ensure adherence to school and gym policies.
Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that focuses on player development and positive reinforcement.
Maintain professional behavior, punctuality, and reliability at all times.
Chaperone a weekend trip to Kimberton Pennsylvania for a basketball tournament Feb 7th-9th.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old.
Strong reputation for self-control, sound interpersonal skills, and professionalism.
Previous coaching experience required, preferably with middle high school students.
Passion for player development and commitment to creating a positive athletic environment.
Must possess strong organizational and time-management skills (no lateness or unexcused absences).
CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are required.
Background check required.
Educational background in physical education, sports physiology, or exercise science is preferred.
