Coaching Manager - Soccer Development Program

The Director of Coaching will be responsible for bringing excellence onto the field of play by
developing and managing an elite, professional coaching team consistent with the long-term
goals and objectives set by the Club.
Section 1: Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Dir. of Coaching or equivalent soccer
leadership experience e.g. Academy Manager - Proven coaching abilities including at least 5 years of coaching experience with
elite travel teams ages 7 and up - Developed understanding of club, academy and collegiate soccer system
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Director of Coaching within US
youth soccer - USSF B, UEFA B and above or equivalent
Section 2: Overall Responsibilities: The FIVE main areas of Director of Coaching oversight
include (but are not limited to):
1. Coach Development & Management
- Travel team coach recruitment, onboarding and team assignment
- Implement and monitor ongoing coach education & training program
- Provide seasonal coach observation & assessments
- Manage coach-related feedback
- Oversee coach communication
● Coach management/HR & coordination in according with our HC Policies
● Coach schedule management: planned / unplanned absence coverage
2. The Player Pathway
- Oversee player selection, placement and movement
- Manage player experience
- Liaise with College Pathway Officer to provide access to College Pathway
Program for HS-aged teams
3. Team Coordination
- League, Tournament and Showcase identification
- Parent communication and education
- Monitor team milestones
4. Curriculum Development & Implementation
- Ensure best practice for training and tactical progression according to our programs philosophy and curriculum.
- Oversee quality control practice and games
5. Practice Session and Game Day Management
- Attend practice sessions to ensure quality control
- Implement weekend game observation schedule
Section 3: General Schedule Summary
- Minimum of 3 week days in the HQ office, NYC and weekend field presence
- Game Day and Practice Session Observations to provide coach reviews that
ensure program delivery is consistent with the Club’s Policy & Guidelines. - Identify, interview, onboard and manage coaching team
- Provide training and education for Travel Team Coaches
- Enhance positive and cohesive “Club-first” culture across the team
Additional Requirements
Exceptional organizational and communication skills

Proficiency in Google G-Suite
Problem-solving skills
Experience in project management
Aptitude for effectively preparing and delivering presentations to large group(s)
