Role Description

This is a part time contract on-site role for a Travel Baseball Coach at AI9 Baseball in the Greater Chicago Area. The Travel Baseball Coach will perform day-to-day tasks associated with coaching, including creating practice plans, managing game strategy, and mentoring players while training for tournaments and leagues. The Coach will oversee player development to ensure that each player builds a successful career and advances to the next level. Our Travel Baseball Coach should be enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and passionate about coaching and developing players.

Qualifications

• College or professional baseball playing/coaching experience preferred.
• Prior experience coaching baseball players of any age.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to teach fundamental baseball skills, including hitting, fielding, pitching, and base running
• Ability to cultivate a positive and engaging team culture while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork and dedication to baseball
• Ability to work with players with a wide range of abilities and skill levels
• Ability to travel to tournaments and games as needed
• Ability to pass a background check and complete necessary certifications/training required for working with youth players
