Shifts:
- Saturdays: 9:15 am – 1:00 pm
- Early Fall Session: September 14th – November 9th
- Jr. Celtics Season: November 12th – February 23rd
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct and coach children on basketball fundamentals, including skills and drills.
- Referee games, ensuring fair play and adherence to the rules.
- Session Structure: Begin each session with a brief lesson on drills, followed by facilitating gameplay among participants
- Adapt to a schedule that may change based on enrollment.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Previous experience in basketball coaching, particularly with young children.
- Familiarity with basketball rules and ability to referee games.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work Saturday mornings and early afternoons consistently.
- Commitment to the entire duration of the Early Fall session and the Jr. Celtics season.
