Responsibilities:
? Supports the fundamental philosophy, skills and techniques for the program.
? Maintains a knowledge of all sport, school, league, section and state rules and by-laws.
? Foster training in conduct, ethics and sportsmanship for all athletes and coaches.
? Supervision of the athletes before, during and after workouts.
? Continually enhance professional expertise in the relevant field by means such as attending
clinics, joining professional organizations, and reading professional literature.
? Work with the Athletic Director to solve problems at the lowest level while supporting the ideas
of the program/parent/coaches concerning procedures.
? Shall perform such necessary duties in this position which are not specifically stated but which
are considered by competent authorities to be generally associated with the Assistant Coaching
position.
Qualifications:
? Demonstrates three-years of successful experience as a high school baseball coach or equivalent
experience as a player or club coach.
? Demonstrates knowledge of the fundamental skills and techniques, as well as the advanced
techniques in the sport of baseball.
