Full Job Description
Hi-Five Sports Chicago (Chi-Town Sports) is looking for part-time youth sports coaches with assertive personalities who are creative, organized and love kids to help facilitate various programs such as:
- Birthday Parties
- School Break camps
- After School programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent, or active enrollment in school
- 10+ years of documented experience playing team sports
- 5+ years of documented experience coaching youth sports
- Ability to have fun while being responsible and a good role model to children
- Availability to work weekends and weekday evenings (when kids are not in school)
- experience in planning sports & physical activity programs and activities for children and experience in implementing and following through on action plans.
- Strong work ethic, take-charge of the room, responsible and accountable by nature, NOT TIMID
- Strong organizational skills
- Good sense of humor
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Essential Job Functions
- Facilitate Activities: Organize and run structured sports activities and other interactive games tailored to the age and interests of the children.
- Engage and Energize Children: Use high energy and a fun attitude to keep children excited and engaged throughout the event.
- Safety Management: Monitor children closely to ensure safety and provide a welcoming, inclusive environment.
- Customer Service: Interact with parents and guardians in a friendly, professional manner to ensure all expectations are met.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other staff or hosts to ensure a smooth, efficient event.
- Maintain Equipment: Set up and break down equipment before and after each event.
- Adaptability: Handle unforeseen challenges, such as weather changes or last-minute adjustments to event plans, with professionalism.
- Represent the Company: Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor as the face of the organization.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 6 per week
