Full job description
Miami FC seeking an experienced goalkeeper coach to provide weekly goalkeeper sessions.
Trainings typically take place on weekday evenings between 6PM-9PM with occasional weekend programs and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
LEAD GOALKEEPER SOCCER COACH:
- Conduct practices 1-2 times per week during the standard season (August-June)
- Create an optimal environment for player development for players
- Provide player feedback to players/families
- Ensure a positive and educational environment for all players
- Lead communications with all Goalkeepers within the club.
- Attend Coaches meetings
- Lead the creation of a long-term development plan for elite-level goalkeepers in collaboration with head coaches and directors.
- Define the key coaching points and relevant information for the session.
- Maintain communication and feedback with the academy coaching staff.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
- Promotes MFC Vision, Mission and Philosophies.
- Plans and manages internal communications and awareness of organizational needs, administration and activities.
- Assists with special projects as directed by the Academy Director
- Associated duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Youth goalkeeper coaching experience; both small and large settings
- USSF and/or USC coaching certifications; Goalkeeping Certifications preferred.
- Enthusiastic, energetic , self-starter, confident, professional, and a solutions-based problem-solver.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with and maintain relationships with all levels of Parents, Players, Coaching Staff, Directors, Volunteers, Vendors and Program partners.
- Ability to work independently, cooperatively, and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to initiate, coordinate and organize schedules/tasks through to completion accurately and on time.
- Successfully pass criminal background check.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
These physical requirements are representative of those necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
- Travel locally to practices and occasionally games.
- Vision acuity sufficient to analyze and assure accuracy of written documents.
- Speaking and hearing sufficient to conduct training sessions and match play..
