Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Arrive by 2:45 PM)

Job Description:

Brooklyn Friends School is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Softball Coach to join our athletic team. The ideal candidate will have intermediate knowledge and experience in softball and will embrace a fun, student-centered coaching mentality. The goal is to provide students with an unforgettable experience, developing their skills while fostering teamwork and sportsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and running practice sessions.
• Provide individual and group instruction to athletes at varying skill levels.
• Foster a fun and positive environment that motivates students to learn and grow.
• Help ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and games.
• Assist with game day preparations and coaching during matches.
• Maintain open communication with players, parents, and the Head Coach about progress and areas for improvement.
• Attend all practices and games, ensuring commitment to the team’s success.

Qualifications:

• Intermediate knowledge and experience of softball.
• Passion for coaching and developing young athletes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to create a positive, fun, and supportive learning environment.
• Previous coaching experience or a background in softball preferred.
