About the position

Alcuin School is seeking a part-time Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for the Middle School and 5th/6th grade teams. This role involves coaching young athletes, organizing practices, and managing game schedules. The position is ideal for individuals passionate about teaching sports and mentoring students in a competitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching the Middle School Boys Basketball team and the 5th/6th grade team.
• Organize and conduct practices for both teams.
• Manage game schedules and logistics for the teams.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during practices and games.

Requirements

• Valid First Aid Certification.
• Experience in teaching or coaching basketball.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous coaching experience at the middle school level.
• Knowledge of basketball strategies and techniques.
