About This Job

This is an on-call position which means it is a part-time, hourly role. The pay rate for this position is $18.81/hour and is eligible to enroll in the City and County of Denver’s 457b retirement plan. This position is not eligible for other additional benefits. On-call positions may have routine or variable work schedules.

Job Responsibilities

The City and County of Denver’s Department of Parks and Recreation offers Youth Sports programming for kids ages 3-17 years. Our team of devoted Coaches enrich the lives of youth through engagement of sports, learning the fundamentals of numerous sports including baseball, basketball, coach pitch, T-ball, softball, flag football, gymnastics, tumbling, cheerleading, volleyball, soccer, and track and field.

We are looking for enthusiastic coaches to join our team to serve as a role model for youth in a sports program focused on sportsmanship, fun, skill development, and character development. The ideal candidate will have:

• A flexible work schedule
• Knowledge of and/or previous experience playing sports

Requirements

• You must be at least 14 years of age at the time of application
• You must be certified in CPR and First Aid within six (6) months of date of hire
• Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of continued employment
