Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Soccer Coaching Intern to assist in coaching young athletes and developing engaging soccer curriculum. This internship provides hands-on experience in both on-field coaching and curriculum development, offering valuable insight into coaching methodologies, player development, and sports program management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coaching youth soccer teams during training sessions, practices, and games.
  • Develop age-appropriate training drills, activities, and lesson plans to enhance players’ technical and tactical skills.
  • Work closely with the coaching staff to implement structured soccer curriculum.
  • Provide individual feedback and encouragement to players to foster growth and confidence.
  • Help organize and set up training sessions, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss player development, session planning, and program improvements.
  • Assist in evaluating players’ progress and adapting coaching methods to suit their needs.
  • Support game-day operations, including warm-ups, tactical discussions, and sideline coaching.
  • Maintain positive relationships with players, parents, and staff to promote a supportive team culture.
  • Contribute ideas to enhance the overall soccer program and coaching strategies.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Coaching, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Prior soccer playing or coaching experience is highly desirable.
  • Passion for youth sports and player development.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and training methodologies.
  • Enthusiastic, responsible, and eager to learn.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Compensation: $16.50/hr

Job Type: Internship

Pay: $16.50 per hour
