Job Overview

We’re seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Basketball Coach to join our team at Santa Monica Sports Academy Inc. As a Youth Basketball Coach, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our young athletes, helping them develop their skills and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging basketball training programs for youth athletes.
  • Assess player abilities and create customized training plans to meet individual needs.
  • Provide expert instruction on basketball fundamentals, including shooting, passing, and ball-handling.
  • Focus on developing physical and mental skills, including agility, speed, and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive athletic program.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification in a relevant instructor’s training program is an advantage.
  • Previous experience as a Sports Coach or Instructor, preferably with youth athletes, is highly valued.
  • A history of commendable sporting achievement is considered a plus.
  • Must possess excellent verbal communication skills and a patient demeanor.
  • Pass a background check and mandatory state Mandated Reporting test.
  • Current TB test required.
