Youth Sports Coach – Summer & Afterschool

Location: Central Park (Upper West & Upper East Side)

Compensation: $20-34/hr (based on experience)
Type: Part-time, Weekday mornings and/or afternoons (Summer), Afterschool

We’re hiring now—coaching opportunities start as early as next week!

Park Heroes is a high-energy, high-quality youth program for kids ages 3–10 that blends sports, movement, and mentorship in Central Park, NY. We’re hiring sports coaches to lead both spring afterschool classes and our summer program.

We’re especially looking for coaches with playing or coaching experience in:

Tennis, baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, football, softball, or others

What You’ll Do:

• Lead small groups of children (ages 3–10) in skill-based sports sessions
• Keep the energy high, the instructions clear, and the kids engaged
• Teach fundamentals while promoting teamwork, effort, and fun
• Assist with setup, transitions, and cleanup in outdoor park settings
• Model leadership, kindness, and good sportsmanship

Qualifications:

• Experience in one or more listed sports (playing or coaching)
• Experience working with children (coaching, camp, teaching, or babysitting)
• Reliable, energetic, and comfortable managing small groups
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to get certified)
• Willingness to get background checked
