About us
The East Bay’s Premier Travel Baseball Program
The East Bay Cyclones are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing travel baseball opportunities in the San Francisco East Bay area. We serve kids from Berkeley, Albany, El Cerrito, Richmond, Kensington, Oakland, Emeryville and more, and run teams at the 9-10U, 11U, 12U and 13-14U age groups.
At its core, the East Bay Cyclones is an organization devoted to player development to build the skills, experience and character needed to play at the high school level and beyond. We are focused on fundamentals and teach the work ethic required to succeed not just in baseball but in life.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic youth baseball coach to join our team starting this winter/spring. The ideal candidate will have a teacher’s heart, extensive experience playing and/or loving baseball, and preferably some experience coaching youth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience, earn a competitive hourly rate, and coach in a dynamic and supportive environment. Positions available include: Head Coach, Primary Assistant, and Assistant Coach.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute practice plans and game strategies
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to help players improve their skills
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating team environment
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all players
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to continually improve our program
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates and addressing concerns as needed
Qualifications
- Extensive experience playing AND/OR loving baseball
- Previous experience coaching youth is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Passionate about teaching and working with children
- Must pass a background check and complete other required training programs

Pay: $20.00 – $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 30 per week
