Job Title:

AAYSA(Ace Athletics Youth Soccer Academy) Youth Soccer Coach

AAYSA Assistant Coach

Location: San Jose/Palo Alto/Fremont

Job Type: Part-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Soccer Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in soccer, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in developing young athletes. The Youth Soccer Coach will be responsible for planning and conducting training sessions, teaching fundamental soccer skills, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment for players of all skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training & Development:
  • Plan, organize, and conduct engaging and age-appropriate soccer training sessions.
  • Teach fundamental soccer skills, techniques, and strategies.
  • Focus on player development, including physical, technical, tactical, and mental aspects of the game.
  • Adapt coaching methods to suit the needs of individual players and the team as a whole.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead and motivate players during practices and games.
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude among players.
  • Manage team logistics, including scheduling, equipment, and communication with parents/guardians.
  • Game Preparation & Strategy:
  • Develop game strategies and prepare players for matches.
  • Attend all scheduled games and tournaments, providing guidance and support to the team.
  • Analyze game performance and provide constructive feedback to players.
  • Safety & Well-being:
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during practices and games.
  • Enforce rules and regulations to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
  • Respond to injuries and emergencies in a calm and effective manner.
  • Communication:
  • Maintain open and effective communication with players, parents, and staff.
  • Provide regular updates on team progress, schedules, and any relevant information.
  • Address concerns and questions from players and parents in a professional manner.
  • Professional Development:
  • Stay current with coaching techniques, soccer trends, and youth development strategies.
  • Attend coaching clinics, workshops, and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Previous experience playing or coaching soccer at a competitive level.
  • Experience working with youth athletes is highly preferred.
  • Certifications:
  • Valid coaching certification (e.g., USSF, NSCAA, UEFA, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends for practices and games.

Pay: $60-$150/hourBenefits:
