Job Title: AAYSA(Ace Athletics Youth Soccer Academy) Goalkeeper Coach

Location: San Jose/Palo Alto/Fremont

Job Type: Part-Time/Contract

Reports To: Head Coach/Technical Director

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Goalkeeper Coach to join our coaching staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in goalkeeping, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective training programs. The Goalkeeper Coach will work closely with the Head Coach and other staff members to enhance the performance of our goalkeepers at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Training and Development:
• Design and deliver specialized training sessions for goalkeepers at various levels (youth, reserve, first team).
• Focus on technical skills, tactical understanding, physical conditioning, and mental preparation.
• Conduct individual and group training sessions tailored to the needs of each goalkeeper.
• Match Preparation:
• Analyze opponents’ strengths and weaknesses to prepare goalkeepers for upcoming matches.
• Provide pre-match, in-match, and post-match feedback and support to goalkeepers.
• Collaborate with the Head Coach to develop game strategies involving goalkeepers.
• Player Evaluation:
• Assess the performance and progress of goalkeepers regularly.
• Provide constructive feedback and set development goals for each goalkeeper.
• Maintain detailed records of training sessions, player progress, and match performance.
• Communication and Collaboration:
• Work closely with the Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, and other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to player development.
• Communicate effectively with goalkeepers, providing clear instructions and motivation.
• Liaise with parents (if working with youth teams) and provide updates on player progress.
• Professional Development:
• Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and methodologies in goalkeeping coaching.
• Attend coaching clinics, workshops, and seminars to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Obtain and maintain relevant coaching certifications.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Goalkeeper Coach at a competitive level.
• Hold a recognized goalkeeping coaching qualification (e.g., UEFA Goalkeeper Coaching License, NSCAA Goalkeeping Diploma, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of goalkeeping.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).

Pay: $60-$150/hour
