About the position

Almaden Country Day School is seeking passionate and experienced coaches for their after-school boys and girls basketball programs for students in grades 5-8. The role involves leading practices and games, mentoring young athletes, and fostering a positive sports environment. Coaches will work approximately 4-6 hours per week during the winter season, with a stipend of $2,000 for the season.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct basketball practices for middle school students.
• Organize and coach games, ensuring a positive experience for all participants.
• Mentor young athletes, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration.
• Complete required training and background checks before starting the position.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a coach or player in basketball.
• Strong passion for sports and mentoring young people.
• Ability to commit to a schedule of practices and games during the winter season.

Nice-to-haves
