The position is for “The Director of Operations” of the company, LiL Kids Lax.
LKL is the Ultimate introduction to the sport of Lacrosse for 3-8 year old boys and girls in Long Island NY. We run 6 week programs year round. Currently operate 8 locations in Nassau County and Looking to expand in Nassau and Suffolk County.

The hours vary based on our business. Most of the work will be done during the hours of 9-5pm but will be split up at our office in East Meadow and home based work as well as some travel on the Island. Each day will not be 8 hrs but split up over the course of a week for about 25-35 hours. Can create a scedule that works around school/classes etc. mon/wed/fri for 4-6 hrs per day. 1 sat or Sun 3hrs per day.

We run our programs mostly on the weekends from 8:45-11:30am
You will be required to be at some of the locations when needed. Typically the first and last session of every 6 week season. (this could be 2-5 hrs of work between 8:45 and 11:30am Sat/Sun) but not every Sat/Sun and we never run any programs on any holiday, Mothers day, Fathers day etc.)

The responsibilities are Help manage the day to day operations.
Customer Service-
Answer incoming phone calls from customers asking about the program
Answer Emails from customers about the program
Sending out emails about our program (Change of dates, Cancelations, updates on the program
Reminder emails about the start and end of sessions and future sessions
Marketing-
All Social media FB, Twitter, Instagram
Email Marketing to our current list
Visiting Nursery schools in the areas of our locations to foster relationships and distribute flyers
Festivals and Events
Coordination-
Of coaches, who’s coaching where and their calendars of when they can and can’t work
Calendars
Location contracts
Insurance
Bookkeeping
Keeping track of the coaches schedule and pay
Registration issues

Creating Flyers
Materials

Research
New Locations
Advertising opportunities

Just think about everything that goes into running a business and you will be asked at some point to help out.

Ideally this position would be for a younger, motivated, hungry audience that is willing to work hard and get rewarded. Someone who doesn’t have many responsibilities, (another job that will interfere, kids, ect.)
That doesn’t mean only young people can apply but it gives you the idea of the person who i am looking for.

No real work experience or skills are required for this position just the willingness to work hard, to show up on time, and do the things that will help push the company forward.

Going to school for sports management would be a plus.
