Overview:

The West Hempstead School District is seeking a highly qualified Assistant Coach for our Boys Varsity Lacrosse team. As an integral member of our coaching staff, you will work closely with the Head Coach to develop and implement effective strategies, provide guidance and support to our student-athletes, and promote a positive team culture.

Responsibilities:

* Assist the Head Coach in planning and implementing lacrosse practices, games, and tournaments

* Develop and implement game plans, defensive and offensive strategies

* Provide individualized coaching and guidance to student-athletes

* Monitor and track player progress and performance

* Foster a positive and supportive team environment

* Communicate with parents, school administrators, and other coaches as needed

Qualifications:

* Must be a certified teacher or possess a professional coaching license

* Hold current certifications in:

+ First Aid

+ CPR/AED

+ DASA

+ Child Abuse

+ Violence Prevention

+ New York State Concussion

* Prior experience coaching lacrosse or a related sport is preferred
