Job Description

The Drew School seeks a candidate to fill the role of JV Boys Basketball Coach, responsible for leading and guiding the school’s basketball program.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing individual skills required to play the sport of basketball
• Preparing and organizing practice sessions
• Developing team strategies and tactics
• Attending all interscholastic competitions
• Communicating with players, parents, and administration
• Serving as a mentor to student-athletes helping them develop academically, physically, and socially

Requirements include:

• A valid California driver’s license
• Fingerprinting verification (the employer will reimburse this cost)
• CPR and First Aid certification, or the willingness to become certified.
• ASEP or NFHS Coaching Certification-mandated by the state for all high school coaches. The employer will coordinate this for any selected candidates who do not have the certification.
• Availability during after-school hours weekdays, between 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends as scheduled.
