Job Opportunity: Youth Basketball Coach

The City of South San Francisco’s Parks and Recreation department is seeking a qualified Youth Basketball Coach to join our team.

This is a part-time, flexible position perfect for individuals who are passionate about basketball and working with youth.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced coach who can develop and implement effective coaching strategies, promote physical activity, and provide a positive role model for our young players.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement coaching plans to promote player development and teamwork
• Lead practices and games with a focus on safety, sportsmanship, and fun
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff to ensure a positive experience for all

Requirements:

To be considered, applicants must have:

• A valid coaching certification or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
