Hours: Part-time, $65.00 per hour (coaching); $19.18 per hour (admin)
Description:
Join the San Francisco Vikings Soccer Club and help shape the future of youth soccer in the city! We’re currently hiring a 7v7 Academy Youth Soccer Coach for the 2025–2026 season. Responsibilities:
- Lead two weekly practices focused on skill development and game understanding.
- Coach 10 competitive games per season (Fall and Spring), plus summer playdates and winter futsal events.
- Create an inclusive, positive training environment aligned with club philosophy.
- Collaborate with fellow coaches and the Academy Director to support team and individual growth.
- Communicate effectively with players and parents to build trust and clarity.
- Submit monthly player rankings and attend coach meetings and club events.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with youth players, ideally ages 7–10.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Passion for teaching soccer and supporting long-term player development.
- USSF Grassroots or D License preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Registration Requirements:
- Must complete SafeSport, Concussion/Cardiac Arrest, and Harassment Prevention training.
- Must pass a background check and complete I-9 and W-4 paperwork.
- Must register with club platforms: Sprocket and Paychex.
Schedule:
- Contract runs from June 4, 2025 – April 30, 2026
- Two 1-hour practices per week between 3:30 – 6:30 PM
- Weekend games and seasonal tournaments
- Unpaid breaks: June 22 – July 6, Nov 23 – 30, Dec 21 – Jan 4, and federal holidays on practice days
