Frosh/Soph Basketball Coach

We are looking for an energetic, passionate and experienced coach to serve as the MensFrosh/Soph Basketball Coach at YULA High School Boys Division. Our school is seeking an applicant who will teach and mold these young men into student athletes. You must possess excellent communication and leadership skills. Assisting participants in the development of the required physical and sport-specific skills is a must. We strive ourselves on putting person before player, and being a team player with the YULA Family.

Responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:

• Develop professional relationships with the student-athletes and parents
• Help to grow and develop the basketball program
• Required to be on the bus for all home and away games
• Having close contact with the Athletic Director and Varsity Basketball Coach
• Supervise all aspects of the Frosh/Soph Program
• Responsible for inventory making sure to keep track of all of our equipment
• 3-4 practices a week plus matches
• Monitor student-athletes attendance, behavior and academic status
• Perform other related duties assigned by the athletic director
• Required to take all NFHS coaches classes online provided by the Athletic Director

Qualifications:

• Advanced knowledge of the sport
• CPR & First Aid Certification required or ability to be certified
• Coaching and higher level playing experience is desired
• Successfully pass a mandatory background check
