Job Title

Serve as a Youth Basketball League Lead to ensure the success of our programs at designated satellite locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Management: Ensure proper program procedures are followed, focusing on safety and adherence to guidelines.
• Site Supervision: Open and close assigned sites, supervising throughout the day.
• Team Leadership: Supervise participants, coaches, and Parks & Community Services staff assigned to your site.
• Youth Development: Referee and score-keep youth basketball games, actively mentoring referees.
• Custodial Tasks: Perform tasks as needed to maintain site cleanliness and organization.

Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Pass a background check to work with children.
• Key Skills:
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coaches, parents, volunteers, and coworkers.
  • Lead referees, coaches, and other staff assigned to your site.
  • Assist in instructional tasks.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Work weekends or other irregular hours as necessary.
  • Maintain CPR and AED certifications.
  • Familiarity with basketball, particularly for those working with older youths.
  • Enthusiasm for sports, basketball knowledge, and confidence in working with youth.
