Position Summary
The Youth Soccer Coach leads and supports youth soccer programs by organizing practices, game days, and skill-building sessions. This role includes coaching during leagues and clinics, overseeing after-school and weekend programs, managing equipment, and maintaining a safe and positive playing environment. Candidates should have a passion for soccer and youth development, along with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Program Dates: September through November 2026
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Program Leadership
- Lead and coach youth soccer teams, creating a positive and inclusive experience for all participants.
- Deliver high-quality soccer instruction during clinics, practices, and league play.
Practice & Game Day Preparation
- Plan and run structured, developmentally appropriate soccer drills and activities.
- Promote teamwork, skill development, and sportsmanship among players.
- Communicate effectively with co-coaches, participants, and families.
Equipment & Facility Management
- Set up and maintain soccer equipment before and after sessions.
- Ensure safe and clean field environments for all programming.
Game Management & Safety
- Officiate games and scrimmages when needed, ensuring fair play and positive competition.
- Monitor field conditions and maintain a safe playing environment.
- Keep accurate game scores and attendance as required
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work is performed in indoor and outdoor sports settings, including gymnasiums, fields, and community recreation areas. The role may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and a moderate noise level. Interaction with youth, families, and staff is frequent and requires maintaining a positive, professional demeanor in a fast-paced, active environment.
Physical Demands
This role requires regular physical activity, including walking, running, bending, reaching, and demonstrating soccer skills. Coaches must be able to lift and carry equipment up to 25 pounds and remain standing or moving for extended periods. Visual and auditory awareness is necessary to ensure safety and effective supervision.

Salary Description
The Soccer Coach position offers a compensation range of $23.00 – $31.00 per hour.
This rate is based on salary benchmarking for similar roles and is aligned with grant fund approvals and requirements for the position.
