About NJ Pride FC: New Jersey Pride FC (NJ Pride FC) is a premier soccer academy dedicated to representing the State of New Jersey with pride. Our mission is to create a clear path to professional soccer from ages 2 and up. We are committed to providing top-tier coaching and fostering a love for the game in young athletes.

Job Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Soccer Coaches to join our team. Coaches will primarily run weekly soccer classes for children aged 2-7, focusing on teaching valuable motor skills through the game of soccer.

Higher-qualified coaches may lead private lessons or 1-on-1 training sessions for older athletes (ages 7+), including those in our system on the path to a professional career. Coaches will be assigned classes based on their availability within a 12-week block of time.

Compensation is per class, not per hour. Class times range from 35 minutes to 60 minutes each.

Responsibilities:

Head Coach ($25/class):

• Prepare full lesson plans
• Lead classes in full
• Answer parents’ questions and coordinate with management
• Ensure all necessary equipment is at the class location
• Ensure classes begin and end on time
• Manage distribution of name tags, t-shirts, and stickers
• Check children into class
• Unpack and repack equipment before and after class
• Advise management on equipment needs
• Make announcements about company news
• Share parent feedback with management
• Guide and advance Assistant Coaches and Junior Head Coaches
• Provide feedback on coaching staff progress

Senior Head Coach ($30/class):

• All responsibilities of a Head Coach
• Opportunity to expand classes to new locations
• Lead private classes and 1-on-1 trainings
• Guide and advance Assistant, Junior Head, and Head Coaches
• Provide feedback on coaching staff progress
• CPR Certified (certification provided by NJ Pride FC)

Master Head Coach ($35/class):

• All responsibilities of a Senior Head Coach
• Expand classes to new locations
• Guide and advance Assistant, Junior Head, Head, and Senior Head Coaches
• Provide feedback on coaching staff progress
• Meet regularly with the Coaching Supervisor to discuss staff needs and improvements
• CPR Certified (certification provided by NJ Pride FC)

Ideal Qualifications:

• Experience working with children ages 2-7 in sports, especially in soccer
• Experience working with children outside of sports
• Experience playing soccer at a higher level (varsity high school or higher preferred)
• High energy, positive attitude, youthful spirit
• Team-oriented, responsible, committed, good communicator, punctual
• Confidence in leading a class with energy and engagement.
