What’s up with Cootoh?
Cootoh is defining D2C chefs table experiences at home, travel stay or workplace by seamlessly connecting high-end clients with top-tier chefs and their curated experiences. Simultaneously, our core mission is to carve a new path for chefs to earn more, and ultimately creating healthier life balance outside of the stressful environments and brutal work hours for low pay of restaurants/commercial kitchens today.
Backed by Techstars and growing quickly, we are looking for a technical co-founder (CTO) to build, scale, and lead our engineering team.
If you have experience in marketplaces, technology, and product-driven growth, this is your shot to shape and own the technology vision of a category-defining company.
The Role
As a visionary Co-Founder & CTO, you’ll be responsible for owning and driving the you will be responsible for owning the development of our product, shaping the technology strategy, and building a scalable platform and high-performing tech product team. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who can build and manage a tech team, drive product innovation, and align technology with business goals.

Your Skills & Experience
Must Haves
4+ years of engineering experience or senior technical leadership in a startup environment
Full-Stack Engineering: Proficiency in Python, Flutter, React, Node.js, Next.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, AWS (or similar stacks)
Experience managing and leading engineering teams, scaling tech, and ensuring compliance and security
Demonstrated experience in AI workflow integrations (Grok, Claude, OpenAI, etc.)
Preferred to Have
2+ years in marketplaces, booking platforms, or on-demand services (E.g. AirBnB, WhatNot, Uber, etc.)
1+ years experience working directly with a product manager
Nice to Haves
Experience in solutions architecture
Personal or professional experience in UI/UX prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, etc.)
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the technology roadmap in collaboration with the founding team
Oversee architecture, design, development, AI integration, and platform deployment
Collaborate on product development, UX/UI, and feature prioritization
Build and lead a high-performing technical and product team
Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of the platform
Represent technical strategy in investor discussions and align engineering with business growth
Work across the entire stack, from front-end and back-end development to DevOps

Please note this role is equity only as we approach funding in 2025. Although we are live in the market, there is currently no cash compensation until our funding round closes. We expect you to be fully compensated within 12 months.
