We're on a mission to help every company hit their numbers.

To date, Cube has raised over $65M of venture capital from top-tier investors such as Battery Ventures and Mayfield. Together, we’re building a culture that challenges and celebrates everyone with a path to growth. That’s where you come in! As we enter our next phase of growth, we believe Cubers are the reason we win.

About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Design Manager to lead UX for the Cube suite of products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user experience design, a passion for creating intuitive and user-friendly interfaces, and the ability to work with a cross-functional team to drive towards product design goals.

The Product Design Manager will work closely with product management, engineering, and marketing, to ensure our products meet the highest standards of usability and user satisfaction. This is a player-coach role with individual contributor responsibilities as well as managing a senior designer.

Role Requirements:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive UX strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.

  • Define and prioritize user experience initiatives, ensuring they are effectively integrated into the product development lifecycle.

  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices across the organization.

  • Lead user research activities, including usability testing, surveys, and interviews, to gather insights and validate design decisions.

  • Ensure that all designs are consistent with brand guidelines and meet accessibility standards.

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, marketing, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.

  • Perform the role of player-coach: lead and build out the UX design team while actively contributing as a senior designer.

You could be a great fit if

  • 🎓 You have a Bachelor’s degree in UX design, Graphic Design, or related industry experience.

  • 🤓 You have at least 5 years of UX design, with at least 1 year in a management role.

  • ⛰️ You have a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of UX design projects and successful outcomes.

  • 🎨 You have proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma or similar.

  • 🔍 You have experience with user research methods and tools, including usability testing, surveys, and interviews.

Bonus Points

  • You know front-end development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)!

  • You’re familiar with agile/scrum methodologies and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • You stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in UX design and user research.

The expectations above are meant to represent the ideal candidate, but if you don’t meet all of them and think you’d be a great fit for this role, please apply. This position is open to candidates who are authorized to work in the United States. Immigration sponsorship is not available at this time.

Simplicity is also synonymous with clarity in our context—there are many things we could focus on, but prioritizing and communicating clearly will make a huge impact on us.

  • Joyful - Our product elevates people in unsung roles--as a company, we want to create joyful experiences for our customers, teammates, candidates, and community, by creating connections and taking time to celebrate the impact we make.

  • Human - We’re a group of humans building products for humans. The way we operate, communicate and collaborate is thoughtful and empathetic.

  • Impactful- We're not satisfied with doing what's expected. We strive to go above and beyond, taking the lead to make a meaningful difference for our customers.
