Dash is looking for a Senior Back End API Engineer to be based in our Kenya and Ghana offices:

What you’ll do

• Develop high-quality software that is aligned with user needs and business goals.
• Integrate the Dash application with all required systems and services and provide clean and easy-to-use APIs and data streams for the frontend part of the system
• Build out backend functionality for existing and new product lines
• Integrate with various third-party systems, including payment systems, identity providers, and messaging platforms.
• Responsible for application build-up and functionality, performance and scalability
• Scale our backend services and pipelines to ever-growing levels of traffic and complexity.
• Help build flexible and easy-to-use tools used by our operations teams to handle customer inquiries and other business processes.
• Adheres to development security standards and routinely inspect code for speed optimization.
• Conceptualize and implement solutions for data storage

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related discipline
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience
• Experience with Java 8, Python, C#, Dotnet and RX Java in a production application.
• Experience developing apps that interact with web services (REST, JSON).
  
• Strong in building backend software for web-based or mobile products.
• Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, distributed systems, data storage, and agile development methodologies.
• Working experience with SQL.
• Possess proficiency in Spring boot Java frameworks.
