About the role

We’re looking for a Paid Media Executive to bring our paid ad strategies to life. In this role you’ll be committed to driving DataCamp’s user acquisition efforts, all the way from awareness through to subscriptions.

You’ll be responsible for the creation and optimization of best-in-class campaigns, working closely with our channel leads and reporting to the Head of Paid Media to aggressively scale up efficient user acquisition tactics. Under your management DataCamp will become widely known for its indispensable and intuitive learning content, creating a space for a global community to learn, change their lives for the better and celebrate data science.

Responsibilities

  • You will lead on DataCamp’s global paid media execution and be a key contributor to campaign strategy
  • Build and manage best-in-class campaigns from scratch to promote our expanding curriculum of courses, projects, learning tracks, certifications, events and more
  • Manage multi-million dollar budgets with laser-sharp focus and attention to detail
  • Make data driven decisions through structured analysis and a nuanced understanding of KPI frameworks
  • Deliver regular and reliable reporting, spotlighting actionable insight in performance data
  • Identify new opportunities to test, learn and maximize performance across audiences, landing pages, creative and more
  • Communicate effectively with other teams (engineers, designers, marketing strategists, translations) to ensure efficient cross-functional collaboration
  • Manage your time effectively, meeting deadlines and keeping a clear sense of priority across a complex and fast-moving taskload
  • Keep up to date with industry research to stay ahead of trends, take advantage of new technologies and spark inspiration

Essential

  • Experience in leading paid media execution for at least 3 years - including Google Ads and at least one other paid ad platform
  • You have proven success in driving B2C growth and business outcomes via paid media tactics across a range of objectives and products (ideally including mobile app), and understand what a great paid ad account looks like
  • A track record of conscientious budget management and optimisation
  • Outstanding organizational skills and effective at prioritization, adopting project management tools as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and clear communication
  • You have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively - understanding the happy marriage between planning ahead and being able to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Proficient in working with data and interpreting statistics. You can quickly diagnose a performance problem, visualize data, size up an opportunity, and conduct a clean and robust A/B test
  • A solid understanding of user experience journeys, you can drive traffic effectively and efficiently to key website and digital product touchpoints
  • You’re transparent, share data, and like to discuss what’s not going well just as much as what is

Desirable

  • Experience scaling a Mobile App through paid/organic tactics
  • Experience with Programmatic Display
  • Experience with B2B paid ad campaigns
  • Experience with campaign localisation
  • Language skills (ES, PT)
