Senior Deal Desk Analyst

What you’ll do:

• Serve as a trusted adviser to the Sales Team on all commercial/business aspects of the deal to help drive deal closures

• Provide quoting and deal structure guidance , pricing approvals and ensure compliance with published sales policies

• Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance and Legal to review or address revenue recognition or commercial contracting concerns for non-standard deal structures

• Ensure adherence to our quote-to-contract processes and policies for our commercial engine while effectively escalating new use-cases outside of the current approval matrix and providing appropriate proposed solutions to facilitate

• Develop an expert level of understanding regarding all past, current and future license offerings in order to provide needed guidance to the Sellers

• Aid in the continued development and maintenance of Sales policies and selling procedures

• Assist in the review of RFPs/RFIs responses

• Assist in delivering relevant training to new and existing salespeople on deal desk, order processes and overall DataRobot best practices

• Maintain scalable operations and feedback loop to increase contract velocity and efficiency

• Exercise your in-depth understanding of subscription models and service/product offerings for recommended contract structures

What we’re looking for:

• 4-6+ years Deal Desk/Sales Operations/Finance experience, preferably within a SaaS environment. Experience with Federal/Public Sector a plus.

• Robust understanding and experience with CPQ (configure, price, quote) tools and quote to cash process knowledge

• Proven track record in owning and running complex deals end-to-end, including but not limited to modeling out different deal options and collaboratively working with internal stakeholders on those different options

• Self-motivated, critical thinker with prior experience with complex, cross-functional pricing and proposal execution across Sales, Legal, and Finance

• Positive team player and effective communicator with all levels of management and cross-functional organizations

• High level of accountability; proven ability to take ownership and solve problems. Dedication to excellent customer service. Flexible, agile and supportive in a fast-moving and changing environment

• Collaborative participation in identifying and suggesting possible resolution in system gaps and processes to better streamline efficient workflow

• Strong quantitative skills and highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce.com, and CPQ tools

• Strong understanding of software revenue recognition and order process principles

• Highly Organized with the ability multitask, prioritize and deliver at times of high volume
