The Sr. Manager of Learning Experience plays a pivotal role within the Education & Enablement department, reporting directly to the VP of GTM Enablement and Education. This position is essential for DataRobot as it oversees the development and execution of education initiatives catering to three critical audiences: customers, partners, and employees. The senior manager’s responsibilities encompass crafting educational strategies, managing content development, optimizing the Learning Management System, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring alignment with company goals, making it a key influencer in achieving organizational success.
The Sr. Manager of Learning Experience's primary focus is on creating comprehensive educational programs that align with the vision of the VP of Enablement & Education and DataRobot. They lead a team of professionals in developing courses, learning paths, and assessments while emphasizing content reusability and relevancy. Additionally, this role involves overseeing the evolution of the Learning Management System, crafting a communication strategy, and maintaining relationships with internal leaders to ensure that DataRobot's educational offerings remain effective and responsive to evolving needs. This position requires a solid background in SaaS organizations, learning and development, leadership experience, and expertise in instructional design, making it pivotal for DataRobot's educational initiatives and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, inspire, and manage the team of education professionals on the Learning Experience (LX) team to design + execute education initiatives for DataRobot to serve our 3 audiences: customers, partners, and employees.
Craft Customer Education and Partner/Internal enablement initiatives that align and support the vision of the VP of Enablement & Education.
Align team priorities with company goals and oversee the measurement of progress against those goals.
Content
Facilitate the development of courses, learning paths, and an assessment strategy to support learning and motivation for partners and customers
Lead the LX team through the development of a learning curriculum development strategy that maximizes content reusability and creates efficiencies around outputs.
Oversee efforts to craft a competency matrix to ensure content + assessments align with the skills/knowledge required to be successful with DataRobot
Oversee the creation of an enablement content maintenance strategy to ensure content stays relevant and mirrors product changes in a timely fashion (aligned with launches)
Collaborate with the Technical Excellence and Revenue Excellence teams to a) understand employee enablement needs b) align and influence the prioritization of content development and c) support the creation of content + deployment into the Learning Management System
Systems
Oversee and support the development/maintenance of our Learning Management System to ensure a smooth experience for each of the audiences we serve
Craft and maintain a roadmap of desired platform enhancements
Oversee the creation of systems/operational documentation to ensure key decisions and processes are documented
Communication
Lead the development of a communication strategy to ensure content consumers + internal stakeholders are aware of available content, roadmap, and platform changes/enhancements
Drive alignment between revenue leaders, customer care, product marketing, channel team, and other internal business units
Develop and maintain relationships with internal leaders to a) gather information about educational/enablement needs b) stress the need for ongoing SME support, and c) help our leaders rally around instructional best practices to maximize our chances for successful skill retention and knowledge transfer.

The ideal candidate for the Sr. Manager of Learning Experience role should possess the following combined Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Expertise in Learning Management Systems (LMS): Proficiency in managing and leveraging LMS platforms to facilitate efficient educational experiences for diverse audiences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: A demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across various internal teams, such as Customer Care, Product, Marketing, Support, and more, to achieve targeted educational outcomes.
Adult Learning Expertise: A strong understanding of adult learning principles and learning science best practices, coupled with practical experience in applying these principles to instructional design methodologies.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to develop and execute a communication strategy, foster relationships with internal leaders, and ensure stakeholders are informed of available content, roadmap updates, and platform enhancements.
Project Management: Proven experience in project management within the context of educational initiatives, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and align with organizational goals
Instructional Design Methodologies: Practical knowledge and experience in instructional design methodologies, enabling the development of effective educational content and strategies.
This combination of skills and experiences equips the Sr. Manager of Learning Experience to excel in crafting and executing comprehensive education programs, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the effective delivery of educational content to meet organizational objectives.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in Learning & Development, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in learning & development, instructional design or customer/partner education, with at least 1 year of experience in a leadership role
Experience in a SaaS organization, working with SMEs, content developers, and internal stakeholders on customer education and partner enablement initiatives
