The Vice President, Professional Services – Federal is responsible for leading all professional services and data science delivery activities across the United States Federal Sector. This executive plays a critical role in shaping and executing the regional services strategy, ensuring world-class delivery of AI-driven solutions, and supporting revenue growth and customer success. The VP partners closely with Sales, Account Management, and the broader Senior Leadership Team to scale professional services offerings, achieve profitability targets, and drive customer value across international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional field teams such as sales leadership, and Senior Leadership to build regional software and services strategies in support of revenue targets.

  • Contribute to achieving professional services margins and oversee the P&L of your region.

  • Recruit, assess, and train technical employees to meet DataRobot professional services hiring plan and performance standards

  • Retain top talent and implement development plans for employees that fail to meet standards

  • Ensure quality of delivery of professional services.

Strategic Planning & Leadership

  • Develop and maintain the regional professional services strategy aligned with global objectives and regional revenue goals.

  • Advise the Executive Leadership Team on AI professional services trends, risks, and opportunities, including regional P&L performance.

  • Contribute to global services strategy, operations, and administrative planning.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Account Management to support go-to-market plans, renewals, and expansion strategies.

Operational Execution

  • Oversee successful delivery of services across the customer lifecycle—from PoVs and onboarding to expansion and renewal.

  • Ensure adherence to performance standards across AAIE engagements in all assigned regions.

  • Own and manage the regional professional services budget, operating plan, and margin targets.

  • Monitor customer satisfaction, delivery quality, and overall health of engagements to minimize churn and maximize impact.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, scale, and develop high-performing professional services and data science teams across international markets.

  • Recruit, onboard, and upskill technical talent in line with DataRobot’s hiring plans and delivery standards.

  • Implement performance management frameworks to recognize excellence and address underperformance.

  • Foster a culture of feedback, continuous improvement, and professional growth.

  • Codifies best practices and domain knowledge to scale technical excellence across teams.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in enterprise software, services, or consulting

  • 3+ years in a senior leadership role within high-growth SaaS, customer success, or services organizations

  • 3+ years leading cross-functional or international teams

  • 3+ years experience in advanced analytics, data science, or AI/ML

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred

  • U.S. Citizenship required to support engagements with federal government customers.

  • Active or ability to obtain U.S. security clearance (e.g., Public Trust, Secret, or higher) depending on customer requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting U.S. federal agencies, system integrators, or defense and intelligence organizations is highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, ITAR, NIST, and other relevant regulatory or compliance frameworks is a strong plus.

  • Proven ability to navigate procurement, compliance, and delivery expectations in a federal contracting environment.

  • Understanding of U.S. federal acquisition lifecycle and proposal processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ) is a bonus.

Compensation Statement

The U.S. annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for this full-time position is between $300,000 and $400,000 USD/year. This range represents a combination of annual base pay and targeted commission. Actual offers may be higher or lower than this range based on various factors, including (but not limited to) the candidate’s work location, job-related skills, experience, and education.
