We are transforming and accelerating clinical trials, to help get life-saving treatments to patients faster and accelerate innovation in healthcare. To that end, we build a cutting-edge software suite that connects all clinical research stakeholders, from research teams to treating physicians, patients, and study sponsors on a real-time, real-world data SaaS platform, powered by AI.

As we continue our growth trajectory, we are seeking a dedicated Staff Engineer to further refine our platform and make larger strides in healthcare technology. Our diverse team includes problem solvers, lifelong learners, travelers, artists, athletes, and more, collaborating effectively from various parts of the country.
What You'll Do
- Develop and oversee web applications with a keen focus on user experience.
- Work closely with our existing tech stack: React, Java, Springboot, Elasticsearch, and AWS.
- Handle complex datasets, especially around Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Engage deeply with the backend, spanning from APIs to databases, ensuring seamless data flow and storage.
- Actively collaborate with designers, front-end experts, other engineers, stakeholders, and clients to ascertain business aims, dissect requirements, frame solutions, and assure the impeccable execution and delivery of the final product.
- Lead and participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and mentorship initiatives.
- Assure application reliability, especially in a production setting with heightened user traffic and data processing.
- Actively participate in project scoping, estimating, and planning.
About You
- Has 5+ years' experience in Web Development, particularly with our tech stack: React, Java, Springboot, Elasticsearch, and AWS.
- Demonstrates profound knowledge of PHI and HIPPA compliance.
- Hands-on experience with EMR systems.
- Proficient in cloud-based infrastructure and services, especially within the AWS ecosystem.
- Strong familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Developed and maintained a microservices architecture.
- Knowledgeable in secure coding practices and familiarity with encryption methodologies.
- Boasts a profound "system intuition" with the capability to debug and swiftly comprehend multifaceted systems.
- Understands the nuances and best practices of web development, software design, and DevOps principles.
- Has previously managed applications in production settings, catering to a broad user base.
- A skilled mentor and coach, with the ability to nurture junior engineers, guiding them through technical challenges, and fostering their professional growth.
- Proven record of accomplishment of leading technical discussions, advocating for best practices, and collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Prior remote working experience.
