What You'll Do
- Data Pipeline Ownership: Take full ownership of the data pipeline alongside the team. Ensure its robustness, efficiency, and scalability, especially as the company ingests millions of patient records daily.
- Elasticsearch Expertise: Lead and oversee the effective use of Elasticsearch in the data architecture. Ensure optimized indexing, searching, and analysis of patient records, leveraging the platform's full capabilities.
- AI & ML Innovation: Champion the integration of cutting-edge AI and ML toolsets into the search architecture. Be a driving force behind the enrichment and precision search against the company's extensive dataset.
- Data Team Health: Define and maintain a holistic health view of the data team, detailing workstreams, capacity, OKRs, and KPIs. Stay updated with the latest trends in AI, ML, and Elasticsearch to guide the team's growth and evolution.
- Hands-On Leadership: Act as a capability lead where necessary, providing hands-on oversight and support for key workstreams, ensuring that AI, ML, and Elasticsearch best practices are consistently applied.
- Data Visualization & Transparency: Lead efforts to advance data visualization techniques using tools compatible with Elasticsearch. Empower other organizational functions with transparent, insightful, and actionable data visualizations.
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate closely with the CTO, VPE, CISO, and CPO. Ensure alignment on the technology roadmap, strategy, architecture, and security, with an emphasis on the AI, ML, and Elasticsearch components.
About You
- Resides in the U.S
- Proficient in cloud-based infrastructure and services, especially within the AWS ecosystem.
- Strong familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Developed and maintained a microservices architecture.
- Ability to manage and grow a unique and complex team of data engineers, data scientists and machine learning engineers.
- Strong understanding of current best practices within data orgs
- Stakeholder management skills
- Desirable to have good product development skills due to the importance of data at Deep 6
