About Us:

Dieta uses AI to personalize digestive healthcare for the 11% of the global population that suffers from digestive disorders. Our mobile application captures high-resolution data on their diet, bowel movements, medications, and other factors, and generates precise treatment recommendations. We’re the first company to build proprietary stool 💩 image recognition technology that makes the measurement of digestive outcomes (poop) objective instead of subjective. We’ve recently validated our technology in a human clinical trial and signed our first 3 institutional customers. We’re backed by Techstars, UnitedHealthcare (the world’s largest healthcare payer), and Cedars-Sinai (the top medical center for gastroenterology) and are growing our team to improve digestive health for all.

About the Role:

As the first full-time business development position at Dieta Health, your job will be to develop and expand new business opportunities with enterprise customers in the spaces of pharmaceuticals, supplements/CPG, medical centers, and healthcare payers. You will drive solutions development for complex client needs. Dieta currently has multiple revenue stream opportunities in front of us, your role will be to prioritize them with research and customer exploration, and then execute on solution definition and sales.


  • Work directly with the CEO to meet with prospective enterprise customers in pharmaceutical companies, CPG companies, medical centers, and healthcare payers
  • Develop and deliver insightful, value-added strategies and solutions that address complex client issues
  • Create and elevate new business opportunities through the identification of value-added follow-on work and identify new revenue opportunities with existing and new client organizations
  • Actively prospect and leverage potential new business opportunities within specified l new and/or existing accounts
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within accounts and develop deep knowledge of the customer organization
  • Work with cross-functional support teams to prepare and steer client interactions and sales presentations. Educate team participants in customer culture, operational needs/methods and sales techniques needed to close the sale
  • Utilize CRM and other sales tracking tools to maintain business development and sales activities and track progress
  • Support sales by attending trade shows and industry conferences.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in consultative selling within the pharmaceutical, healthcare and/or medical device and diagnostics industry
  • Strong presentation-making skills in Google Slides or Powerpoint
  • Highly detail oriented and process oriented
  • Cross functional leadership
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to communicate with many different parties at a fast pace
  • A strong ownership mentality and ability to operate and prioritize independently
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, comfortable with ambiguity

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in healthcare startups and innovation
  • Experience in clinical trials or patient care settings
  • Business operations experience
  • Design skills in Figma or similar tool, or video/audio editing tools is a major bonus
