Head of Studio Operations (Internal Applicants Only)

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada .
full-time . June 3, 2026

Description

Are you a strategic leader who thrives at the intersection of people, operations, and culture? Are you ready to develop and inspire your team to create the best client experience, steeped in inclusivity and belonging? Do you want to play a key role in enhancing the mental health of your community?
If you’re still reading, it means you’re the perfect fit! Hi! We're DiveThru. Through our in-person studios and online platform, we provide mental health support, designed with today’s generation in mind. Our services include therapy and psychological assessments. We also partner with organizations to make mental health support more accessible for their teams.
As a mental health tech company with funding from groups like Alberta Innovates, we are integrating technology into the therapy experience to improve therapist and client experiences and outcomes. By bringing together every element, from matching with a therapist, managing appointments, accessing resources, and tracking progress directly in the DiveThru app, we are modernizing the therapy experience. The centralization of therapy tools means one less thing to worry about so that clients can focus on what matters — their mental health.
We’re looking to add a Head of Studio Operations to our DiveThru Crew. This is a leadership role responsible for the operational health, culture, and performance of our studios across all locations. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll own the studio operations function — leading our studio team and translating strategy into day-to-day operational excellence across our network of studios.
Here’s What You’ll Get By Joining Our Team:
  • Paid vacation so you can take the time off that you deserve
  • Paid flex days (because we get it - life happens)
  • Health, dental, and extended benefits plan starting from day 1
  • Ability to attend professional development and mental health related workshops
  • The opportunity to be a part of a growing company with advancement as we continue to grow
Ready to join us? Okay, let’s talk about the official stuff:
Your General Responsibilities:
  • Own and oversee day-to-day studio operations across all DiveThru locations, ensuring each studio runs efficiently, consistently, and profitably.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the studio team.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain studio-level policies and procedures, leading rollout and ensuring consistent adherence across all locations.
  • Champion a positive, connected studio culture through team engagement initiatives, events, recognition, and consistent internal communication.
  • Serve as an operational point of contact for all team members, supporting onboarding, offboarding, and day-to-day business and studio inquiries.
  • Ensure an exceptional, consistent client experience across all studios, managing escalated issues and supporting complex client matters.
  • Monitor and review studio performance reports, analyze key metrics, and oversee profile and direct billing audits.
  • Manage therapist payroll, oversee studio revenue tracking, and ensure operations remain within approved budgets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with building management and vendors, and coordinate with contractors for studio maintenance and repairs.
  • Support change management at the studio level and collaborate closely with the broader leadership team to drive continuous improvement.
Your Skills:
Our ideal candidate brings the following to the table:
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to develop, coach, and lead psychologically safe teams.
  • Solid understanding of business financials, including budgets, payroll, and profitability.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data and metrics into actionable decisions.
  • Excellent operational and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across a diverse team.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies, processes, and operational systems.
  • Sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing organization.
  • High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • A genuine interest in mental health and a deep commitment to the communities we serve.
Considered A Plus:
  • Completed courses related to psychology or mental health (e.g. suicide intervention training)
  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
