About Dr.Online UK

Dr.Online UK is a CQC registered private online GP service. We provide confidential medical and wellness consultations by secure video or phone, seven days a week. We are growing our weight management pathway and are looking for Nurse Independent Prescribers to join our remote team.

The role

You will deliver safe, evidence based remote primary care. A key part of the work will include weight management consultations and ongoing follow up, while maintaining excellent clinical records in line with CQC and NMC standards. This is not a specialist post, but solid experience in obesity management and weight loss is essential.

What you will do

• Conduct remote assessments, initiation and follow up for weight management treatment plans
• Prescribe within scope of competence in line with NICE and local guidance, with clear safety netting and patient education
• Review outcomes, side effects and dose changes, escalating to doctors when required
• Keep accurate notes in the electronic patient record
• Contribute to audits, incident reviews, safeguarding and wider clinical governance activity
• Work with doctors, operations and pharmacy partners to deliver a smooth patient journey

What you bring

• NMC registration as a Registered Nurse with V300 Independent Prescriber qualification
• Proven experience in obesity management and weight loss in clinical practice
• Experience working in remote or digital settings
• Strong knowledge of CQC standards, KLOEs, audit, risk management, safeguarding and data protection
• Confident with electronic prescribing and clinical systems, with strong written communication
• A patient centred approach focused on safety and outcomes

Nice to have

• Experience with GLP 1 weight management pathways
• Experience across both private and NHS settings
• Familiarity with remote triage and asynchronous consultations

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain
• Up to date indemnity cover, mandatory training and safeguarding level 3
• Suitable private, secure workspace and reliable broadband
