The candidate will be a core member of the Lazada Treasury Shared Service Center (SSC) based in Malaysia. The candidate will work in a team supporting all the Treasury operational requirements for Lazada operations in Southeast Asia and Europe. The candidate will manage multiple countries’ operational requirements, and will need to interact with multiple parties on a frequent basis, including other Treasury functions/ pillars and Finance teams, Finance Tech team, Project Management teams as well as various external partners including banks and payment service providers.

The candidate will report into the Head of Lazada Treasury SSC based in Malaysia.

Key tasks and responsibilities
• Responsible for the transaction execution and processing for the countries & entities assigned. Ensure transactions are processed timely and accurately in the banking portal as well as various internal payment systems.
• Attend to various payment-related queries from internal stakeholders. Liaise with banks to resolve any operational issues. Maintain all bank statements in a central depository. Manage any documentation requirement as required.
• Partner with various teams to streamline and simplify payment processing, and support automation projects.
• Participate in projects to support implementation of new payment method (i.e. instant payment) and new business models.
• Familiar with payment landscape and payment methods by countries to support payment operations; drive best practices where applicable
• Liaise with banks for various banking documentation preparation and update, and coordinate documentation for execution.
• Prepare/ support internal and external operational reportings
• Execute and comply with treasury control requirements

• Possess a degree in Finance/ Accountancy/ Banking or equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years working experience in the Treasury-related areas; Experience in treasury operational requirements for Asia and Europe would be advantageous
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Good English & Mandarin communication skills (verbal & written)
