Job Description
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the accuracy of the General Ledger, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with company policies and local GAAP.
- Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis of financial accounts, ensuring compliance with internal controls. Maintain balance sheet reconciliation schedules. Requires strong partnership with other teams to ensure closing is completed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and provide financial support for decision-making.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, identifying trends and providing recommendations for process improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal audit standards.
- Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and working closely with external auditors.
- Provide accounting records and information required for tax reporting purposes.
- Assist in BIR/tax audits.
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc reporting as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Above six years of experience in accounting, with a focus on General Ledger and financial reporting, preferably in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
- In-depth understanding of local GAAP, tax and statutory regulations in the Philippines.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with various stakeholders and provide clear explanations of financial matters.
- Proficient in using SAP and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
- Proven ability to work in a team, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Note: This position is based in Manila, Philippines, and is part of the LAZADA team. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to the company's values and contribute to a dynamic and fast-growing organization. This is a work from office arrangement.
