LazMall Strategic Account, Brand Acquisition Lead-Business Development

You will lead the "Elite Brand" acquisition strategy. Your goal is to identify, negotiate with, and onboard the top 100 most influential brands in Thailand and internationally. You are not just a salesperson; you are a strategic consultant who helps brands understand the value of our ecosystem
Key Responsibilities
[1] Strategy & Pipeline Development:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to identify and prioritize top-tier local and international brands that align with our platform's goals.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer data to identify new brand opportunities.
- Manage the end-to-end acquisition pipeline from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and contract signing.
[2] Negotiation & Deal-Making:
- Act as the lead negotiator on complex, high-value deals with strategically important brands.
- Structure compelling proposals, including commercial terms, marketing commitments, and operational requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers at target brands.
[3] Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4 Brand Partnership Managers.
- Set clear quarterly and annual targets (KPIs) for the team, tracking performance and providing regular coaching.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on achieving ambitious acquisition goals.
[4] Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Marketing, Operations, Legal, and Category Management teams to ensure a seamless and successful onboarding experience for new brands.
- Represent the brand partnerships team in senior leadership meetings, reporting on performance and strategic initiatives.
1. Experience: 5-7+ years in business development, strategic sales, or brand partnerships, preferably in the e-commerce, retail, or tech industry.
2. E-commerce Background: Deep, well-rounded understanding of e-commerce models (marketplace, 1P, 3P), digital marketing, and platform operations.
3. Negotiation Skills: Demonstrable track record of successfully leading and closing complex, six- to seven-figure deals. Must be a persuasive and skilled negotiator.
4. Leadership: Minimum 2+ years of direct people management experience, with a passion for coaching and developing talent.
5. Logical & Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You must be able to use data to build a logical argument and strategic plan.
6. Fluency in both English and Thai
Preferred (Nice-to-Have):
1. An existing network of contacts at top-tier brands, retailer (e.g., in Fashion, Beauty)
2. Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
