1. Provide monthly view of parcel volume and capacity required for the next 1-2 months, align commercial (sales), (logistics) operations, and financial plan to achieve overall business objectives, involve parcel volume forecast (planning), supply (rough cut capacity) planning by all functions, and financial planning and early anticipation of the business and operations requirements.
2. Empowers Logistics functions by providing long term forecasts, analysis tools and data, and recommendations to drive functional initiatives and business case analyses.
3. Optimize costs by leveraging 3PL allocation, finding and quantifying sources of revenue leakage, and finding improvement opportunities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Build the collaborative planning process between Commercial (BI team, commercial team or regional planning team as applicable) and Lazada Logistics for organization wide Logistics planning process and manage operations scalability / uplift - events, promotions, mega-events, Super Brand Days, etc.
2. Establish (logistics independent) data & system-centric, integrated operations planning layer - tactical (long range planning) and operational (week to day) planning across Lazada Logistics BUs (FFM, Transport, Logistics Operations, Cross Border, as applicable).
3. Integrate reliable capacity planning and benchmarking across Lazada Logistics network by striking great mix of Cost (Resource center – Productivity) and Service (Leadtime).
4. Work with functions to plan and provide new data and planning needs arising from evolution of processes through weekly and monthly meetings and updates.
5. Do cost data analysis with the Operations and Finance representatives to help drive cost reduction.
6. Plan and execute 3PL volume allocation with regional network team to optimize 3PL cost and service.
7. Do analysis to improve any aspect of Logistics and support improvement projects, leveraging knowledge of statistical tools and process modelling tools.
8. Train and develop self and any personnel assigned to the team.
Other Tasks that may be assigned from time to time or as deemed necessary.
2. At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience as individual contributor in forecasting, capacity planning and data analysis, with knowledge of marketplace operations, logistics, transportation, supply chain or last-mile delivery.
3. Good knowledge and understanding of logistics industry and practices. Work experience in a well-established 3PL or e-commerce company is a plus.
4. Good grasp of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) process.
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
6. Strong business acumen and impeccable logical reasoning ability, plus highly motivated self-starter and team player.
7. Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint.
8. Data gathering: knowledge of SQL or other computer programming language is a plus.
9. Automation: dashboard apps, chatbot, VBA or equivalent.
