Product Marketing Lead

As a Product Marketing Lead, you will have the unique opportunity to own the holistic messaging strategy and go-to-market execution for all three of our core products. Our products come in the form of strategic programs that enable our customers - corporations, universities, and government or economic development institutions - to actualize their ambitious innovation objectives within their respective disciplines.

The ideal candidate for this role is both a strategic thinker and someone who can execute. You find energy in synthesizing qualitative and quantitative insights about our customers and turn them into a compelling, unified point-of-view; including positioning, consumer-facing collateral, and success stories that empower our Revenue team to find meaningful partnership opportunities. In this role, you’ll have the chance to collaborate with nearly every function at Techstars - from Sales, Product, and Marketing to Data & Engineering and all our Accelerator Investment teams executing our strategic programs globally.

This role reports to the Director of Sales Enablement and is central to driving a cohesive, holistic understanding of the Techstars offering to the Revenue team in order to deliver on Revenue goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as quarterback of go-to-market: develop a more cohesive and holistic go-to-market (GTM) strategy for existing products and new products; manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan and measurement of program results
  • Craft compelling product positioning and messaging that resonates with our 3 respective customers, differentiating our offerings in the competitive landscape
  • Partner continuously and closely with Sales Enablement to create a repeatable sales motion and playbook for serving each of our ICPs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a consistent product feedback loop in order to identify pain points, uncover product iteration opportunities, and collect insights for more substantiated customer-facing social proof materials
  • Partner with the Brand & Comms team and external agency resources to create essential sales materials and develop an approach for their organization and maintenance
  • Some travel will be required to gain in-the-field experience with our strategic programs in order to inform Product Marketing strategy

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of direct product marketing, marketing strategy, go-to-market, or relevant experience
  • Expertise in applying user and market research to the creation of strong and compelling product messaging and positioning - ability to translate program features into simple, empathetic customer-centric narratives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to communicate ideas simply and succinctly, has executive presence
  • Ability to function autonomously, take initiative, and drive new strategies and ideas within the division
  • Embodying a growth mindset for solving problems by proactively looking for creative solutions that can remove roadblocks or mitigate challenges
  • Exceptional organizational and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously, prioritize initiatives based on goals, and secure buy-in with numerous partners to keep projects moving forward
  • Experience collaborating with Sales Enablement teams to see through adoption, measurement, and behavior change towards ideal outcomes
  • Strong interest in the discourse around technology, startups, entrepreneurship, and venture capital

Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000 with 10% bonus
