At Echo Labs, we’re on a mission to make higher-education content accessible to d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing students. For this, we’re seeking professional, US-based transcribers to join our rapidly growing remote team to transcribe educational content. In this role, not only will you be able to choose your own hours while getting paid significantly above market rates, but you’ll also play a pivotal part in helping make education accessible to a wider audience. Only those with past transcription experience and a genuine passion for accessibility will be considered.

Compensation:

Project-based; $180 per captioned hour guaranteed with the ability to make up to $200 per captioned hour with frequent bonuses.

Who we’re looking for:

3-5 years of transcription experience

Bachelor’s degree (in-progress or completed)

Strong English language, listening, visual, and comprehension skills

Effective personal time and project management skills

Ability to understand diverse accents and dialects with varying dictation styles

Access to a headset, computer, and strong internet connection

AAERT Certification (preferred)
