At Echo Labs, we’re on a mission to make higher-education content accessible to d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing students. For this, we’re seeking US-based remote transcribers to join our rapidly growing team to transcribe educational content. In this role, not only will you be able to choose your own hours while getting paid above-market rates, you’ll also play a pivotal part in helping make education accessible to a wider audience. Only those with significant past transcription experience and a genuine passion for accessibility will be considered. Start date ASAP!

Compensation:

Project-based; $60 per captioned hour guaranteed with the ability to make up to $120 per captioned hour with bonuses.

Who we’re looking for:

3-5 years of transcription experience

Bachelor’s degree (in-progress or completed)

Strong English language, listening, visual, and comprehension skills

Effective personal time and project management skills

Ability to understand diverse accents and dialects with varying dictation styles

Access to a headset, computer, and strong internet connection

AAERT Certification (preferred)
