About The Role

The Financial Analyst will oversee financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting while assisting in the design and maintenance of a strong internal control environment. This role will be responsible for audit readiness, financial statement preparation, budget management, cash management, and optimizing the monthly close process. This role reports to the CFO.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist CFO in establishing and implementing internal controls to support audit readiness and financial accuracy
• Lead the design and management of a structured monthly close process and calendar, with a goal
  
  

of reducing close time while maintaining accuracy.

• Oversee financial statement preparation, ensuring compliance with GAAP accounting principles
• Develop and enforce system controls within the general ledger and accounts payable system to ensure proper financial oversight and mitigate risk
• Strengthen cash management and treasury operations, including optimizing the cash collection cycle and forecasting cash flow
• Work closely with senior leadership to provide strategic financial insights that support business growth and decision-making
• Represent the finance team across the organization to ensure spending versus budget compliance
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, with a focus on data integrity and transparency
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• 2+ years of accounting and finance experience or an outstanding recent graduate who wants to develop the skills of a CFO, including leadership and team management roles
• Strong foundation & hands-on experience in applying GAAP accounting principles
• Experience in manufacturing operations business is strongly preferred
• Public accounting experience or internal audit background is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and audit processes
• Experience managing financial close processes, with a proven ability to improve efficiency
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to develop and mentor teams
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining financial discipline
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or a Physical Science

• Compensation: $75,000 + Equity. This is a full-time, exempt role. Please note that this range represents the anticipated base salary for the Ithaca, NY position
