Full Cycle Account Executive
Envoi Technologies
We are looking for a Full-Cycle Account Executive who has experience selling to enterprise retail, and thrives on the excitement of prospecting, qualifying, nurturing, and closing deals. This role offers significant growth potential for the right candidate, both within the position and the company.
If your experience selling to enterprise retailers is anything like ours, you know that this is an industry that values trust and relationships over everything else. Sales cycles are typically long, ranging from 18 to 24 months—not due to a lack of need or product quality, but because that’s how long it takes to build trust. As a Full-Cycle Account Executive, you will be responsible for nurturing validated enterprise prospects from lead to close. In addition to retail, you'll explore new e-commerce verticals facing pressing logistical challenges that Envoi can solve with minimal product and operational changes.
You'll work closely with the leadership team to design, execute, and analyze experiments that uncover new revenue opportunities, all while closing deals with household brands across North America.
This is a fully remote role with preference given to candidates residing in Ontario or Quebec. You will be expected to attend relevant industry events such as trade shows and conferences in person.
When you apply, consider this: this is a sales role. As a salesperson, you should be used to hearing “no” from a prospect, or often, not hearing anything at all. You often have to resort to creative and unorthodox ways to get a prospect’s attention. Your creativity and out-of-the-box thinking in your approach to this application is not just encouraged—it can significantly boost your chances of landing an interview.
Application Deadline:
We are accepting applications until Friday, March 14, 2025. Please ensure your application is submitted by this date to be considered for the position.
Responsibilities:
- Take over, iterate on, and own the lead generation process, including but not limited to finding potential leads, doing research on each lead and qualifying them based on pre-determined criteria, designing experiments to reach out and establish BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, and Timeline) via appropriate channels, iterating on those experiments based on feedback from the market, and keeping up to date with industry-and lead-specific news to improve chances of converting a lead from prospect to sales-qualified leads (SQL).
- Cold-calling potential customers, prospecting for accounts, and generating and following leads.
- Nurturing SQL to closed-won, including but not limited to building relationships with all the stakeholders involved in each prospect organization, discovering their pain points, aligning them on desired outcomes, and communicating their needs to the operations and product teams internally.
- Creating, executing, analyzing, and iterating on experiments to find new revenue streams for Envoi within the e-commerce vertical.
- Participating in, completing, and submitting RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs from SQLs. You will work with leadership to determine whether proposed pricing is sustainable to the business in both the short and long term.
- Participating in creating and negotiating enterprise-grade service agreements and keeping records of sales and data. This will be the next evolution of your role, as you move beyond the typical Account Executive duties.
- Closing contracts and extending accounts.
Requirements:
- Being able to live and work in Canada for the foreseeable future.
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience selling to enterprise retail and exceeding quotas.
- Cold calling experience in a sales “hunter” role.
- Problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- A deep understanding of operationally focused business sales processes and operational knowledge in logistics.
- An aptitude for grasping new technologies and tools quickly to better perform your duties, including but not limited to financial modelling in Excel or designing compelling proposals in PowerPoint.
- Rudimentary financial modeling and analyses capabilities using Excel.
- An eye for design, and proficiency with using slide deck editing tools like MS PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, or Figma.
- Discipline to log the progress of each prospect as they move through the sales funnel.
- Curiosity and empathy to uncover and understand pain points of prospects, both at a human as well at an organizational level.
- Experience using Google Workspace and CRM software.
- Being bilingual in English and French is considered an asset.
If you don’t see yourself fully reflected in every job requirement listed on the posting above, we still encourage you to reach out and apply. Research has shown that women and underrepresented groups often only apply when they feel 100% qualified. We are committed to creating a more equitable, inclusive, and diverse company and we strongly encourage applicants of all genders, ages, ethnicities, cultures, abilities, sexual orientations, and life experiences to apply.
We are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring process. If you require accommodations at any stage of the interview process, please let us know. You can contact us at accommodation@envoinow.com to discuss how we can best support you.
