We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales of our satellite imagery products and services to clients in the mining industry. In this role, you will identify new business opportunities, build relationships with key decision-makers, and develop tailored solutions that address the unique challenges faced by mining companies.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and execute sales strategies to expand our client base within the mining sector
● Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in mining companies, from operations managers to C-suite executives
● Understand mining clients' operational challenges and demonstrate how our satellite imagery can improve efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance
● Create compelling proposals and presentations that clearly articulate the value of our solutions
● Collaborate with our technical team to develop customized solutions for complex client requirements
● Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
● Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in both the mining and satellite imagery sectors
● Represent Esper at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events
● 5+ years of sales or business development experience, preferably in technology sales to the mining industry
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Business, Geology, Mining Engineering, Geospatial Science, or related field
● Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
● Strong understanding of mining operations and the challenges faced by the industry
● Knowledge of how satellite imagery and remote sensing can benefit mining operations
● Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
● Ability to translate technical capabilities into business benefits
● Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (30-40%)Preferred Skills
● Prior experience in a sales role selling to mineral exploration services OR geospatial services.
