Responsibilities
- Validate and optimize the electrical architecture of hyperspectral payloads for LEO deployment.
- Design multi-layer PCBs for power distribution, embedded computation, and sensor integration.
- Develop and validate high-speed digital interface boards (PCIe, Ethernet, etc.) ensuring signal integrity and compliance with space qualification standards.
- Implement design-for-radiation-hardening practices, focusing on component selection and circuit topology resilience.
- Conduct EMI/EMC analysis and testing in accordance with MIL-STD and space industry standards.
- Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and software teams to ensure integrated payload functionality.
- Support prototype manufacturing, bring-up, and system validation campaigns including thermal vacuum and vibration testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Proven experience (3–7 years) in PCB design and electrical system validation for aerospace, defence, or satellite applications.
- Hands-on experience with high-speed interface design: PCIe, Ethernet, LVDS,
- Familiarity with radiation-hardening techniques and standards (e.g., NASA, ESA, MIL-STD).
- Experience with EMI/EMC compliance testing and mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency with industry-standard ECAD tools (e.g., KiCAD, Altium etc).
- Strong understanding of power systems, including DC-DC converters and power distribution architectures.
- Experience with wiring harness design with industry-standard tools (e.g. RapidHarness)
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Low Earth Orbit satellite system constraints and reliability considerations.
- Familiarity with thermal, vibration, and outgassing considerations for space hardware.
Benefits
- Competitive salary package. $80k to $100k + Super.
- Collaborative, dynamic, and innovative work environment.
- Professional development opportunities.
- Superannuation.
