About Everlong
Everlong is a fast-growing healthcare startup providing virtual nutrition counseling delivered by Registered Dietitians, covered by insurance. Our services are $0 out-of-pocket with insurance, removing a major barrier to care.
Our dietitians provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) across a wide range of conditions, including disordered eating and chronic dieting, weight management and metabolic health, diabetes, cardiovascular health, gastrointestinal conditions, and nutrition support for patients using GLP-1 medications. Everlong’s approach combines nutrition science with behavior change to help patients build sustainable habits and a healthier relationship with food.
We operate with a lean team and a proven foundation. Our primary growth channel is provider referral partnerships, and we are now seeking a VP of Business Development to fully own and scale this function.
The Role
Everlong is seeking a VP of Business Development to lead and scale our provider referral strategy. In this hands-on, player–coach position, you will directly engage with primary care providers and specialists to establish and grow referral partnerships. You will also develop the systems, processes, and team structure needed to scale the business, ensuring that the referral engine operates efficiently and sustainably as it grows. This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of a core growth function and make a tangible impact on Everlong’s success.

We are looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial business development leader who thrives on building relationships and driving measurable results. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to cultivate new opportunities, turn connections into repeatable partnerships, and operate effectively in a fast-moving, startup environment. You are self-motivated, strategic yet hands-on, and excited by the challenge of scaling a referral network from the ground up. Experience in healthcare or provider partnerships is a plus, but what matters most is your drive to create momentum, deliver impact, and build a high-performing team.
What You’ll Do
First 60-90 Days (Hands-On Execution)
- Personally source, onboard, and activate new referring provider partners
- Build relationships with primary care providers and specialists (including endocrinologists, OB/GYNs, cardiology, GI, and related specialties)
- Drive scheduled patient referrals from your book and new partners
- Refine messaging, positioning, and partner education
- Deliver proof of concept and early volume
Ongoing & Long-Term
- Own Everlong’s referral partnership strategy end-to-end
- Build systems for onboarding, tracking, and nurturing partners
- Scale high-performing partnerships and identify expansion opportunities
- Hire, train, and manage a BD team as volume scales
- Partner with founders to align growth with operational capacity
Who You Are
- 8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or healthcare sales
- Proven success building and scaling referral relationships with medical providers
- Brings a real book of business and can leverage it immediately
- Highly autonomous, outcome-driven, and confident owning a number
- Comfortable doing hands-on work initially and building a team over time
- Experience in healthcare, insurance-covered services, or provider partnerships strongly preferred
Compensation & Ownership
This is a performance-driven leadership role with meaningful upside.
- Base salary: $100,000
- Expected total cash compensation: $150,000+
- Equity: Meaningful equity aligned with long-term growth
- Annual performance bonus: Available for exceptional performance, bringing total compensation up to $250,000
